I am back from NZ and have been for my first MTB ride in some time. It felt strange to be back on the big wheeled big. A nice still morning for a light ride around Geelong. I have added a photo album from the NZ trip in the Adventures area of this website.
A couple of very different days. Sunday was a day of rain and more rain. The only break was a trip to the Hobbiton film set park. The bike did not get any work at all unfortunately. Today was a day of driving with one exception in Warkworth where I was able to get the bike out for some fun. I am currently near to the top of the North Island and looking forward to seeing what adventures can be had up in this part of NZ. The climate is almost feeling like tropical much to my surprise. Two days of rather spectacular driving and scenery to view. The bike has had some riding and I have enjoyed the chances to ride very much. Half way through the trip and loving it. The MTB riding world here is very strong and I can really see why with all the amazing trails available to all riders. This is taken in Rotorua near the thermals:

I have been looking around Wellington over the past two days and it has been good so far. The drive down from New Plymouth was longer than expected due to the traffic delays in the capital. The opportunities for bike riding have been limited at this time so not much to report there. Hopefully tomorrow. No photo at this time as the internet I have is not too fast......
The third day in NZ. The trip is showing me how beautiful the country is. Never ending views! Today the rain interrupted the plans but I still got a bit of riding done. This photo is taken near Mt. Taranaki:

I am in New Zealand and I have had my first ride of the trip. A short ride around the river areas of Hamilton. The flight over with Jetstar was very late and as a result I am a little tired from the 3am late night. A couple of pictures:
A lovely ride today at lunchtime =- one advantage of working at home for a change. Almost a perfect day for it. I went out to the edges of Geelong and enjoyed nice views. My left hand is still not 100%. I am a little concerned I might have done more damage than I first thought. I'll see how it is after the New Zealand trip. I am ready to take the Brompton to New Zealand and it is packed in the suitcase. All the electronic gadgets are also packed. I entered again (via Instagram) a photo in the #MyBromptonBag competition.
